Grace L. Mursewick, 86 of Huntley, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in Elgin.

She was born July 15, 1926 in Huntley the daughter of Fredrick and Luella (Prahl) Lamz. On February 1, 1947 in Huntley she married Walter F. Mursewick.

Grace was born and raised in Huntley and spent her entire life there. She was a waitress for the Eagles and Elks Clubs for many years in Elgin. Grace loved to travel throughout the U.S. and abroad with her husband. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Huntley for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was an Avid Cubs fan.

She is survived by her daughter Linda (Lee) Linnenkohl, son in law; Joseph Soper, grandchildren; Lane (Ricki) Linnenkahl, Lora (Michael) Barreto, Nicole (Michael) Wintercorn, Nathan (Kim) Soper, great-grandchildren; Gavin, Logan and Dylan Barreto, Matthew and Sydney Wintercorn, step- great-grandchildren Samuel, Benjamin and Daniel Rogers, sister in law Bonnie Oser  and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded  in death by her parents, husband Walter on November 11, 2002,daughter Toni Ann Soper, infant grandson Joseph Soper, sister Mildred (Jack) Anderson, 3 brothers; Frank (Alice), Earl (Betty) and Jerome Lamz.

Grace donated her body to Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois.

A Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 2:00 pm until the 4:30 pm Service at James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St., Huntley.
