Rosalie Licavoli

Rosalie Licavoli, 71, of Hoffman Estates passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Alexian Brothers Hospice in Elk Grove Village. She was born September 8, 1951, in Chicago the daughter of Philip and Rosalie (Conti) Licavoli. Growing up the daughter of a small Italian grocery store owner, Rosalie began her love of good food. Later in life she would so enjoy her marketing work at food shows. Rosalie was the poster child of the laughing extrovert: warm, welcoming and having no idea what it meant to be a stranger. She took that effervescent personality with her to work at Roosevelt University where she was a liaison for the students - a job she loved. Never liking to sit still and pine away a day, Rosalie enjoyed golf, dancing, boating, volleyball and more with her wonderful friends. Having quite the practical side of her personality as well, Rosalie was extraordinary in the way she managed her finances - she was proud to be able to invest wisely and save not only to secure herself but also to make a difference in the lives of people she saw who needed a helping hand. Rosalie is survived by her loving significant other, Leo Wayman; her siblings, Mary Licavoli, Julie Steffens, Paul Licavoli, Jack Licavoli, Phil Licavoli, Lucia Licavoli; a special daughter of her heart, Courtney Licastro; and many nieces, nephews, and a wonderful community of loving friends. She is preceded in death by her parents. A Catholic Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 13 at Church of the Holy Spirit, 1451 Bode Rd. in Schaumburg. O’Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St. in Huntley. Rosalie transitioned while at Ascension Alexian Brothers Hospice Center in Elk Grove Village.
