Charles P. "Chuck" Olson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Charles P. "Chuck" Olson, 73, of Huntley passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Chuck was born Dec. 6, 1941 in St. Charles the son of Paul and Gladys (Boyd) Olson. On Aug. 8, 1970 he married Julie Enstrom in Huntley. He was a member of the Men of Brass Drum & Bugle Corp. of McHenry during the early 60's. He worked for F.S. as a salesman for over 40 yrs. Following his retirement, Chuck enjoyed helping his son work on his race cars and watching him race at the Sycamore Speedway. He enjoyed playing cards, especially his Wednesday night card games with his sisters and brother. He will be deeply missed by all. He is survived by his children, Denise Olson of Huntley, Charlie (Tiffany) of Kingston; grandchildren, Natalie and Charlotte; sisters, Carol Jaroch of Marengo, Paulette Olson of Marengo, Bonnie (Butch) Derflinger of IN; brother, Donnie (Connie) Olson of Woodstock; aunt, Shirley Block of Elgin; father in law, Dick Enstrom of Huntley; brother in law, Dennis (Kathy) Enstrom of LaSalle, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Julie on Sept. 11, 2009. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11008 Church St, Huntley with Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, Aug. 7 at the James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St, Huntley from 3 to 9 pm and will continue at the church prior to services from 10 to 11 am.
