January 29, 1930 - July 13, 2015

David E. Sheets, 85 of Huntley passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at JourneyCare Pepper Hospice in Barrington. He was born January 29, 1930 in Marion, Indiana the son of Ernest and Miriam (Merriman) Sheets. He married Mary J. Laskowski on May 30, 1959 in South Bend. He is survived by his children, Catherine Sheets, Sharon (Alan) Popp, Barbara (Scott) Berggren, John (Laura) Sheets, Stephanie (Jay) McDonald; 6 brothers, and one sister. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Mary. A Memorial visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the 12:30 PM Memorial Service Saturday July 18, 2015 at the James A. O'Connor Funeral Home 11603 E. Main St., Huntley.  Inurnment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be directed to standup2cancer.org
