Frank N. Tonkovich

Frank N. Tonkovich, 95, of Lake Geneva, WI, formerly of Palatine and Huntley, passed away early Saturday morning, December 18, 2021, at Burr Oak Manor in Genoa City, WI. He was born November 28, 1926, in Chicago the son of Joseph and Rose (Gravich) Tonkovich. On September 10, 1960, he married Margaret Ann Coleman in Chicago. Frank worked in the family business all his life, first in construction, then as a builder/general contractor. He loved drawing, playing cards, and playing the slot machines, but most of all he was the kindness and gentlest man, and his smile would light up the room. He will be deeply missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret “Peggy”; sons, Timothy Tonkovich, and Frank (Kimberly) Tonkovich; grandchildren, David Tonkovich (Ashley Kerns), Matthew (Mackenzie) Tonkovich, and Kelley Tonkovich; and great-granddaughter, Kaylee Tonkovich. He is preceded in death by his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 22 at 10 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road in Huntley. Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel in Palatine. Visitation will be prior to mass at the church from 9 to 10 AM.
