Lowell Y. Crumley, 83, of Huntley, formerly of Glenview died November 18, 2015. He was born on August 11, 1932 in Evanston the son of Frank and Maude (York) Crumley. Lowell was a 1950 graduate of Evanston High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1952-1954. Upon his return, he worked for the Northern Illinois Gas Company until 1977, when he and his wife Alice moved to Hendersonville, NC and developed a mobile home park. In 1997, they returned to settle in Huntley Sun City, while spending the winters in central Florida. Lowell loved to play golf, and for 13 summers worked at the Pinecrest Golf Course in Huntley, IL. Lowell is survived by his beloved wife, Alice (nee Saunders) Crumley; two children, Gregory Crumley of Jackson, TN,and Lisa Rice of Naperville, IL; two stepchildren, Kurt (Suzanne) Williams of Hampshire, IL, and Steve (Cheryl) Williams of Algonquin, IL; 5 grandchildren, Sarah, Lauren and Joseph Rice, and Joshua (Brittany) and Nathan (Amy) Jacobs; 5 great grandchildren, Zoey, Zachery, Cameron, Cole and Kylie. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Paul (Maryann) Crumley. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 11 am at the James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St, Huntley with Rev. Dr. Walter Thyng officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9 to 11am.
