Melvin A. Klingenberg

Melvin Klingenberg, 92, of Huntley passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, at Alden in Huntley. He was born July 30, 1929, in Elgin the son of Irvin and Ella (Witt) Klingenberg. Melvin was a graduate of Barrington High School and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He has lived in Del Webb for over 20 years. He is survived by his two sisters, Elaine Krabbe, and Barbara Rowe; two nephews, two nieces; good friend and caregiver, Bernadine Remblake. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Bernice Bain; and nephew, Edward Krabbe, Jr.. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 3 from 5 to 7 PM at the James A. O’Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St. in Huntley. followed by a 7 PM service and Military Honors. Graveside services will be Private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be directed to the American Heart Association or JourneyCare Hospice, 405 Lake Zurich Rd., Barrington, IL 60010
