Raymond Francis Wollek

December 3, 1921 - July 20, 2013

Raymond Francis Wollek, 91 of Algonquin passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at The Garlands in Barrington. He was born December 3, 1921 in Chicago the son of Frank and Veronika (Mazurkevich) Wollek. Ray proudly served in both the Pacific and European Theaters in WWII. On July 2, 1945 he married Dorothy Roop. Ray worked for over 30 years at Daubert Chemical Co. in Chicago. He is survived by his son Raymond D. (Penny) Wollek. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Dorothy on May 11, 2007. A Graveside service with Military Honors will be on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11:30 am at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials in his name may be directed to Animal House Shelter, Inc., 13005 Ernesti Road, Huntley, Il 60142.
