Thomas L. Marquis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Thomas L. Marquis, 64, of Huntley, formerly of Elgin and Gilberts passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Abbington Nursing Center in Roselle. He was born December 9, 1955, in Elgin the son of Lyman and Grace (Stephens) Marquis. Tom graduated with an Associate Degree and worked as an Auto Engineer for Elgin Dye Mold for 17 years retiring in June of 2010. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntley, a member of the Eagles Club in Gilberts, and The Boyzz Canadian Fisherman Club. Tom enjoyed fishing, camping, music and was very involved with the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary’s Church in Huntley. He is survived by his daughters, Angelique Reeser, and Jeannette Marquis; grandson, Dylan Thomas; brother-in-law, Ken Krogh; godmother, Eileen Bliesener; and good friends the Rehberg family of Dundee. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Patricia Robbins, Peggy (John) Gowran, Kathy Krogh; nephews, Ken Krogh, Jr., and John Paul Gowran. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM on Monday, February 17 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Rd., Huntley. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Elgin. Visitation will be prior to mass from 9 – 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Mary, Huntley.
